Accountant (m/f/d)

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage all accounting transactions and support with functional knowledge on Spanish accounting and legislative standards
• Maintain the Sales Ledger ensuring cash is collected promptly, issues are proactively resolved ensuring a clean ledger with minimal overdue balances and minimal bad debt risk
• Manage the Accounts Payable function, ensuring purchase orders are raised, overheads and expenses are posted and up to date
• Maintain Accounts Receivable data base
• Own payment collection and reporting to credit insurance company
• Ensure 4 eye principles and timely bank payments, Bank posting and regular reconciliation as well as Balance Sheet reconciliations
• Identify month end accruals and prepayments, and prepare and submit regular tax returns (VAT, SII, withholding taxes)
• Ensure cash is properly managed via cash flow forecasts and monitoring, and carry out General Ledger postings 

YOUR PROFILE:

• Degree in accounting or related field with a minimum 2 years’ experience in finance environment
• Profound knowledge in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cash Management and Bookkeeping and strong Spanish Taxation skills
• Strong relationship builder, collaborator and supporter for other functions
• Enjoys working in a team environment, good communicator and positive influencer
• Self-starter, comfortable managing own time and workload
• SAP and strong Excel knowledge
• Fluent Spanish and English language skills
• Willing to travel to our HQ to Germany
