In this role, you will collaborate with 2 experienced business partners and 3 administrative specialists to oversee the daily personnel agenda for approximately 400 employees at our company headquarters. We're in search of a dynamic HR leader who acts as a liaison to the business, actively addresses daily challenges, and coordinates constructive solutions. Together with your peers, you'll support our VP HR for the BIRKENSTOCK Group and shape our strategic HR roadmap. Our operational team comprises a diverse mix of personalities, cultures, and nationalities. An acute cultural understanding is therefore essential, as we take pride in our diversity and value opinions from various perspectives.

 

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • As part of this role, you'll serve as a sparring partner with your team, advising the business and ensuring the delivery of high-quality HR services. You'll collaborate closely with management and employees to further promote work relationships and boost motivation.

  • Leveraging your expertise, you'll provide guidance and support to executives. For questions related to labor law, you'll collaborate with internal and external partners as well as the legal department.

  • You'll proactively identify, analyze, and develop solutions for needs within your scope of responsibility. With the support of relevant stakeholders, you'll independently lead and coordinate their implementation.

  • Within the central organization framework, you'll be responsible for the entire HR lifecycle in your area. You'll assist in shaping and implementing our HR strategy in line with the global approach, ensuring compliance through your strong relationships with specialists and executives. This entails overall responsibility for recruitment, succession planning, assistance with job descriptions, job postings, selection, participation in interviews, selection processes, alignment with salary budgets, competitiveness, onboarding, development, and more.

  • Together with your team, you'll implement strategic HR initiatives and processes.

  • You'll ensure that all teams are developed to a professional standard.

  • As part of the HR organization, you'll participate in HR projects.

 

YOUR PROFILE:

  • Degree in Business Administration or Law with a focus on Human Resources or equivalent qualification.

  • Several years of professional experience in a comparable position, ideally in an international environment. Practical experience in managing HR issues, solid knowledge of HR special topics (recruitment, training, development, employee retention, labor law, etc.).

  • Fluent in both written and spoken German and English.

  • Strong business acumen and a clear understanding of the role as a proactive HR service provider.

  • Excellent communication skills at various levels, interpersonal skills, ethical and cultural awareness.

  • Empathy and sensitivity in dealing with employees and managers.

  • Confident demeanor, highly cooperative style. Willingness and proven ability to work in teams, both as a leader and as a supportive team member.

  • Independence and the ability to deal with uncertainties to achieve results. Ability to address both operational details and conceptual questions.
