Head of Financial Planning & Analysis Europe (m/f/d)

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Leading Financial Planning and Analysis: Lead the financial planning and analysis function for Birkenstock Europe, providing strategic insights to the executive team and other stakeholders
• Team Development: Build and develop a small team to ensure the relevance, accuracy, and completeness of financial data
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and long-range plans for Birkenstock Europe and its business units
• Financial Modeling: Identify key drivers of business performance and develop financial models to test different scenarios and evaluate the impact of various strategies
• Business Partnership: Collaborate with Vice President Finance Europe, Head of Finance Wholesale and DTC Europe, and Global FP&A and Accounting teams
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with other departments to develop budgets and resource plans aligned with business goals and long-term growth
• Cost Controlling: Drive cost control initiatives to ensure adherence to yearly budgets
• Financial Performance Monitoring: Consolidate financial results across distribution channels to create one Europe P&L; monitor financial performance against key metrics, analyze trends, and identify areas for improvement
• Reporting and Presentations: Prepare regular financial reports and presentations for senior management and other stakeholders
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting and financial reporting standards
• KPI Development: Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) and dashboards to monitor business performance and drive continuous improvement using BI tools such as SAP Analytics Cloud
• Profitability Analysis: Improve multilevel profitability analysis across different regions and sales channels
• Process Improvement: Proactively enhance Finance Europe processes to improve transparency and efficiency
• IFRS vs. local GAAP Analysis: Understand differences between IFRS and local GAAP in Birkenstock Europe P&L reporting and highlight discrepancies

YOUR EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:

• Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field, or equivalent practical training
• Minimum of 7 years' relevant working experience, preferably in the fashion/lifestyle industry (B2B/Retail)
• First experience in leading and developing a team
• Hands-on mentality with strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Business acumen and self-motivation with adaptability and strong interpersonal skills
• Analytical and result-oriented approach
• Proficiency in SAP and strong MS Excel skills
• Fluent in both German and English languages
