Senior Transport and Tender Manager (w/m/d)
You are professional and passionate in global transportation topics? You keep cool in a dynamic surrounding? In this role you will co-orchestrate the capabilities of our transportation network to deliver best in class services to our customers and support our growth strategies to best possible extent.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinate and optimize our transport and shipping processes in collaboration with our service providers
- Manage and develop the 3PL partners network in terms of performance, transformation, digitalization and spent
- Initiate, prepare and run tenders, negotiate competitive contracts, and prepare final sign offs
- Assist in building strong partnerships and unique business relations with internal and external stakeholders
- Optimize cost structures and manage risks in cooperation with finance and controlling
- Create + execute realistic and ambitious Forecasts
- Constantly screen and analyze the transportation market to identify common opportunities and future partners
- Be updated and inform stakeholders on operational and freight market topics proactively
REQUIREMENTS:
- University degree with emphasis on the areas of Transport & Logistics or equivalent Logistics master
- Valid background in logistics, transportation and distribution (at least 5-10 years)
- Strong ability to analyze and challenge solution designs to allow preparation of fact-based decision models
- Strong capabilities in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- SAP knowledge and interface management is a surplus.
- Good analytical, presentation, communication, interpersonal and influencing skills
- Fluent in German and English, spoken and written
