Product Safety Manager (m/f/d)

 

YOUR TASKS:

  • “Safety First" is your motto and thanks to your comprehensive expertise, our material and product safety achieves top marks.
  • Your main focus lies on taking responsibility for our testing concept for legal compliance with chemical requirements regarding harmful substances, for which you further continuously develop testing and monitoring systems.
  • Material and product risks are close to your heart, and you can assess them precisely and coordinate the appropriate measures.
  • You will also competently and reliably clarify any legal issues regarding the safe marketing of our products in cooperation with our legal department.
  • Acting as a central interface, you advise our production sites on test results and the usability of materials, and, furthermore, support specialty departments such as purchasing and product development in quality issues.
  • Communication is one of your great strengths and you use this when representing "your" cause, e.g., in technical committees and working groups.

 

YOUR PROFILE:

  • Degree in a chemical or technical field of study (e.g., food chemistry, clothing technology)
  • Professional experience in a laboratory, testing institute or in the consumer goods industry, ideally in the field of footwear and clothing
  • Knowledge of common analytical methods and standards
  • Experience in product safety and corresponding know-how of legislation and legal assessment of consumer goods (e.g., REACH, consumer goods law)
  • Fit in MS Office
  • Good English language skills, German skills are an advantage
  • Solution-oriented and communicative team player with a self-reliant and reliable way of working
