Head of Internal Controls (m/f/d)

YOUR TASKS:

  • To ensure adequate controls, you own the design, implementation, documentation, assessment and monitor the internal control framework in line with the Sarbanes-Oxley regulations (SOX), including group policies and key risks.

  • Leading and establishing the process for internal control reviews and formulateing policies as well as processes to improve compliance and efficiency.

  • Deliver the reporting of the internal control framework and control deficiencies to ensure appropriate communication, documentation and escalation to business partners, executives and relevant committees.

  • Deliver adequate and timely action plans and monitor the progress to address and resolve control deficiencies.

  • Work collaboratively with business and process owners to implement and monitor remediation efforts, ensuring the effective implementation of corrective action.

  • Actively drive standardization and automation, apply and implement best practices for managing internal controls and use innovations to enhance and continuously improve the design and operating effectiveness of the controls, documentation, assessment and review procedures.

  • Actively engage with internal and external auditors to ensure consideration and resolution of all relevant risks and audit findings.

  • Develop and conduct adequate trainings on a regular basis and prepare related information material on the internal control objectives, approach and methodology to business partners to promote knowledge and understanding of risks and control.

 

YOUR PROFILE:

  • Bachelor's degree or appropriate in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or equivalent.

  • More than 7 year's experience in a similar position in a multinational group or in a Big 4 audit firm

  • Strong experience and interest in how technology and systems can support internal control effectiveness and efficiency

  • Extensive experience with and a solid understanding of internal control frameworks  (such as e.g. US public company and relevant SOX experience)Relevant professional certification is a plus

  • Strong analytical and communication skills as well as the ability to spot, assess and address risk, presenting internal control and risk matters in an understandable way

  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, and ability to work as part of a multigeographic team.

  • Consumer products industry knowledge and experience a plus

  • Flexibility in resolving issues and addressing changing priorities.

  • Willingness to travel as part of the internal control procedures
